Sheffield™ brand hydrolysed proteins have been used as ingredients in agar plates and broths since the early 1940's. Media used in the diagnostic laboratory media have a critical requirement for a sparkling clarity and a light color, as cultures are frequently viewed with transmitted light. The Sheffield™ series of specialized and refined protein hydrolysates has been developed with these needs in mind, and has been used successfully in diagnostic laboratories throughout the world.
Even fastidious microorganisms can be propagated in laboratory media prepared from Sheffield™ hydrolysates.
